Goals:
Groups meet weekly. Each session is one and a half hours.

- Learn self-assessment techniques to understand triggers for pain
- Understand the role of depression, anxiety and anger in pain
- Recognize social factors that contribute to pain
- Understand how thoughts and beliefs can hinder enjoyable living
- Learn how to reduce detrimental stress and reduce pain flare-ups
- Develop a sense of mastery and control over pain flare-ups
Groups meet weekly. Each session is one and a half hours.
- Group leader is a licensed Clinical Psychologist with extensive work in healthcare settings
- Each group member receives individual attention re: assessment/treatment plan
- All necessary handout material is provided
- Each group member will be monitored and taught to track their progress
